    The Innova Group’s Dallas office is searching for a data/analytic driven individual who wishes to start as an intern Healthcare Planner as part of our diverse team.  This individual will provide support to the project team in a variety of roles as they are exposed to healthcare planning activities and learn the knowledge required to be a Healthcare Planner under the mentorship of their immediate teammates, Principals and Partners. The team structure requires daily interaction and exposure with firm leadership and potential direct client interaction. The learning will be constant and across many areas of knowledge and skills.

    Job Description

    As a core member of the team, this position will be expected to have the abilities and motivation to:

    • Acquire, normalize, analyze, and maintain multi-sector data (patient/facility/physician), medical, demographic, and other data
    • Research, investigate and document healthcare facility conditions
    • Assist with analysis of existing facilities via the assessment of square footage and key room quantity information from plans and walkthroughs
    • Support the development of strategy related facility planning solutions, including components of need forecasting
    • Support development of strategic planning, facility master planning, space programming, and functional planning documentation
    •  Support creation and editing of presentations
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following programs: Healthcare, Business, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, GIS or other data/analysis intensive major
    • Currently enrolled in a Master of Health Administration or equivalent program
    • Highly qualified candidates will additionally demonstrate exposure or experience in the following types of activities, including:
      • facility evaluations, development, planning and programming
      • basic knowledge of healthcare services, delivery models, data sets and related codes, and facility related planning metrics

    Technical Skills Considered

    • Demonstrated grasp of architectural spaces, materials, and construction, graphic composition
    • MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (basic proficiency desired – use of formulas, printing, basic formatting)
    • BI Tools: Tableau, Power BI
    • Graphics capability – able to portray information in a visually pleasing manner
    • GIS Experience (Data or Graphic Side)

    Location/Benefits/Travel

    This is a full-time hourly position for the summer months and is being offered at our Dallas office. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, enthusiasm and experience. Some travel is possible for this position.

  • Senior Data Analyst/Healthcare Consultant

    The Innova Group is searching for a qualified Sr. Data Analyst/Healthcare Consultant to join our team and support all aspects of project research, analysis, and deliverable development. The successful candidate will be acquiring, normalizing, querying and analyzing data from various sectors in support of projects that meet our clients’ needs: market projections, workload studies and required resource assessments. The most successful candidate will have and demonstrate skills and experience in a blend of data science, analytics, healthcare focus data management and developer roles.

    Job Description

    • Acquire, normalize, analyze and maintain multi-sector data (patient/facility/physician), medical, demographic, and other data
    • Display data, analysis and findings to support project requirements
    • Support other healthcare planning tasks as assigned
    • Demonstrate growing expertise utilizing healthcare planning metrics and emerging trends to define operational requirements (space and staff)
    • Develop analytic team with best practice tools and processes
    • Manage and maintain Windows Server and SQL server (Setup/configure/maintain/backup/users)

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following programs: Healthcare, Business, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, GIS or other data/analysis intensive major
    • 5-10 years of experience in Healthcare Planning or other setting developing meaningful analysis from large data sets
    • Broad knowledge of healthcare services, delivery models, data sets, related codes, and facility, finance and/or operation related planning metrics
    • Ability to create/communicate relevant solutions to complex problems through sophisticated analysis

    Technical Skills Required

    • Healthcare Data Analysis experience (Decision Support/Finance/etc.)
    • SQL: Intermediate to advanced proficiency (import data, indices, query/table development, CTE, etc.)
    • Data Management experience
