Jim brings more than 28 years of experience as a manager and consultant in the healthcare industry, including work with integrated health systems, community hospitals, multi-specialty groups, faculty practice plans, academic medical centers, and government agencies in the U.S. and abroad. Clients value the analytical perspective Jim brings – particularly his ability to bridge financial, clinical, and operations approaches.
Jim’s executive experience includes Manager, Financial Planning Unit, Kaiser Permanente Colorado Region, where he was responsible for the system’s $2.5 billion internal operations budget. He has also served as Program Performance Section leader at Colorado Medicaid, where his staff managed the State’s capitated and non-risk healthcare contracts.
Jim began his career with Deloitte & Touche which led him to enroll at The Wharton School of Business. He later served as manager in the healthcare planning firm Kurt Salmon Associates as well as program director in the disease management group at Schering-Plough/Merck, where he developed population health strategies for health plans and large medical groups.
