Stephen Montaño
Stephen Montaño is a medical equipment planner with The Innova Group in Tucson. Having worked in hospital, long-term care, and laboratory environments, Stephen has over 5 years of experience in medical equipment and materials planning. His background in multiple clinical settings enables him to educate, understand and help clients meet their medical equipment planning needs.
Stephen’s knowledge in cloud based medical equipment software, particularly Attainia, has enhanced his skills in several areas. His experience in budget monitoring, development/maintaining of room equipment lists, development/maintaining of procurement documents and tracking/expediting of purchase orders assists in the reduction of errors during the equipment planning and procurement process, and ensures projects stay on task.
Prior to joining The Innova Group, Stephen worked for the Southwest Institute for Bio-Advancement. As Lab Manager, Stephen oversaw evaluation and implementation of the laboratory’s equipment to ensure all regulatory requirements specific to the facility were upheld. Additionally, Stephen maintained quality control of the equipment, including validating instrument performance and calibration, as well as arranging equipment service, repair and/or replacement. Stephen also served as an Inventory Control Technician for both Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital and Avalon Southwest Health and Rehabilitation.
