Barbara has over 14 years of experience as a medical analyst and healthcare facility planner. She provides consultant and analytical services for healthcare facilities solutions based on data gathering and analysis, user interviews, and physical assessment of the space.

Barbara has had the opportunity to experience a variety of roles and project types during her time with The Innova Group. She has contributed to master planning, delivery system planning, financial/ and economic analyses, and functional/space programming in many market areas and individual facilities for both Federal and private hospitals and systems. Examples include the primary care product line analyses for the San Diego Joint DoD/VA market area and master planning for Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

In addition, Barbara’s experience on a number of detailed special studies has given her a broad knowledge base in healthcare planning. Examples include functional and space programming for patient centered medical home models, strategic planning for the Fort Hood primary care service line, and development of the functionality index, a tool created to measure the functionality of healthcare facilities.
