  • The Innova Group is searching for ambitious, career-minded, curious and inquisitive professionals, with an aptitude for learning, to join our team. These professionals will support all aspects of the firm’s healthcare consulting services, which include Clinical Planning, Clinical Strategy, Capital Strategy and Capital Planning. The work may include the organization, analytics and understanding of healthcare service areas, population demographics, service line demand, operational and financial models, regional service delivery, functional programming, facility master planning, design assist and medical equipment selection and budgeting. The most successful candidate will have and demonstrate diverse skills and experience with a blend of data science, medical economics, graphic communication, health care system understanding, facility planning, medical equipment and storytelling. 

    The Innova Group is a Healthcare Planning Consultancy with offices and staff in Austin, Boston, Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Minneapolis, Nashville, and Tucson. Since 1995, our multidisciplinary team has been developing innovative strategic capital investment solutions for healthcare systems, both nationally and overseas. We offer a small, entrepreneurial team culture with direct leadership mentoring, training, and involvement.

    Our work revolves around strategic capital investment planning for health care systems. These efforts ensure facility projects meet the strategic, financial, and operational goals of the organization— setting the table for architectural design and real estate acquisition processes. The Innova Group provides these services to large private systems such as Kaiser Permanente and Providence, academic medical centers such as Yale New Haven Health, community hospitals, and public sector systems such as the Military Health Service, Indian Health Service, and Veterans Affairs.

    Salary Range

    $80,000-180,000: dependent upon experience/qualifications

    Job Description

    • An integral player in all planning activities

    • Provide AutoCAD, 3d modeling and professional graphics support for healthcare facility and strategic planning activities

    • Support strategy related facility planning solutions, including forecasting need driving facility demand

    • Research, investigate and document healthcare facility conditions

    • Assist with analysis of existing facilities via the assessment of square footage and key room quantity information from plans and walkthroughs

    • Support modeling healthcare delivery and developing operational alternatives

    • Support development of complete healthcare planning documentation, facility master planning, space programming, and functional planning

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design; Master’s or professional degree desirable.

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam or other 3d modeling software

    • Experience in healthcare planning, including:

      • Space and functional programming

      • facility assessment and evaluations

      • facility master planning with phasing, constructability and operational considerations

      • Medical planning and schematic design

      • Design development and construction document experience

      • sub-consultant management

    • Basic knowledge of healthcare services, demand modeling, delivery models, data sets and related codes, and facility related planning metrics

    • Problem seeking/problem solving skills

    Experience/Technical Skills Desired

    • Years of healthcare planning experience in related Innova core sectors (healthcare strategy, operations, capital/facility/equipment planning)

    • MS Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (intermediate proficiency desired – Pivot tables, complex “if” statements, conditional formatting)

    • Healthcare Data Analysis experience (Decision Support/Finance /etc.)

    • Graphics capability – able to portray data/analysis/story in a visually pleasing manner

    Complementary Skills and Knowledge

    • Business Intelligence Tools

      • Tableau

      • Alteryx

      • Power Bi

      • SQL: intermediate to advanced proficiency

    • GIS Experience (Data or Graphics Side)

    • Medical Equipment planning experience

    Location/Benefits/Travel

    These positions are being offered nationwide with preferences for communities and states with an existing Innova presence. Depending on experience, positions may require in-office employment in Austin, Chicago, Dallas, or Tucson. We offer paid vacation, healthcare, healthcare savings account, 401K, and profit-sharing benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Six to ten days’ travel per month may be required for this position.
